Library Reading Challenge: Summer Reading

In partnership with Roosevelt City, we are hosting a fun, free, community movie event at Constitution Park this Saturday to celebrate the beginning of summer break.

Come join the fun at Constitution Park for a free movie night. There will be games, prizes, and a whole lot of fun. Movie is Wonka, start at 8PM. Bring chairs and a blanket.

There will be Summer Lunch offered at Duchesne Elementary, Myton Elementary, Centennial Elementary and East Elementary. Summer Lunch will be served June 3rd- July 23rd. All sites will be closed on Fridays and July 04. Summer Lunch is free to any child under 18 .

The You Got This Scholarship is now open. This scholarship is for all students who plan to attend a college or University once High School has been completed. The criteria and requirements are as follows: 1) Write a 1-2 page essay about a time someone helped you through a difficult time in your life and how it helped you, or about a time you helped someone else through a difficult period of their life and how it helped them. 2) Describe your college goals and what interests you and why? 3) Must have a minimum of a 3.5 GPA to apply. 4) Scholarship essays must be turned into your school counselor no later than midnight on May 9th, 2024.

AHS Students and Parents (8th-11th grades), if you have not scheduled a College and Career Readiness Meeting with the Counseling Center, please do so as soon as possible. This time will be used to go over student course requests for next year, graduation planning and answer any questions you have. These meetings are intended for both the student and parent to attend. To schedule a meeting, please complete the following steps: 1. Go to https://dcsd.schoolsoft.com and click on the REGISTER NOW button 2. Complete the registration form. Be sure to select Altamont High School from the list of DCSD schools. 3. You will be returned to the login page where you can log in right way. 4. Click Altamont High School 5. Review the conference schedules and select one that matches whether your child will be a Freshman/Sophomore or Junior/Senior next year. 6. Click on an available conference time and complete the booking.
