Good news, Longhorn community! Beginning Quarter 2, our bell schedule will change to allow for a 30-minute lunch. Thank you to our School Community Council for bringing this concern to our attention! After hearing your concerns, we removed one minute from each class to allow this change, and Superintendent Young approved our request. Parents are welcome to attend future School Community Council meetings to voice concerns as we continue to adjust. Our new schedule will go into effect on Monday, October 28th.

My529 and the Utah System of Higher Education are sponsoring a Make Your Bookmark Contest for students K-12th grade. It goes from Sept. 1-30th. Students need to draw their bookmark on an official entry form. We have them in the Counseling Center. If students want to enter, they can stop by the counseling center for an entry form. It also has rules, deadlines, all the details.

Drivers Ed will begin August 27th from 6:30-7:30am Tuesday's and Thursday's. Contact the Counseling office to enroll.

AHS Students/Parents, when you look at your schedule , please make sure to use the "matrix screen" allowing you to see all 7 class periods. Also, please note that the "A" day schedule will be the classes you will go to every day. The "B" day classes are the labs that correspond with your "A" day classes.

Attention 7th Graders and Parents, 7th grade orientation will be this coming Monday, August 19th from 8-10am. Students will have the opportunity to meet their teachers, get their schedules, and practice opening their lockers. We are excited to see you all on Monday.
