General Information Announcement–Duchesne County School District
FEMA, in coordination with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), will conduct a nationwide test of the Emergency Alert System (EAS) and Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA) this fall, According to a FEMA press release found on its official website.
The national test will consist of two portions, testing WEA and EAS capabilities. Both tests will begin at approximately 12:20 p.m. MT on Wednesday, Oct. 4.
The WEA portion of the test will be directed to all consumer cell phones. This is only a test with the purpose of ensuring that systems continue to be an effective means of warning the public about emergencies, particularly those on the national level.
Schools will attempt to keep the interruption at a minimum while maintaining a focus on engagement and learning.

Parent-Teacher conferences are this Thursday the 5th from 3:30-7:00. Unless you've heard from your child's teacher on a modified schedule, PTC will consist of an open house from 3:30-5 and scheduled appointments from 5:00-7:00. During the open house time, your child can show you their progress while the teacher is available to answer any questions. If you need a scheduled appointment, please contact your child's teacher or the front office.

Homecoming Spirit Week begins tomorrow! Celebrate America with Red, White, and Blue!

We are excited to support Homecoming week next week. We will be joining in with dress up days. 3rd-5th grade will be going to the parade on Friday afternoon.

The start to this school year has been AMAZING!!! Our students and staff rock. This year we are having a kindness challenge to celebrate our students and their choices to be kind to one another. Students, staff and you as parents/guardians can submit the acts of kindness you see. We have cards in the office or you can report acts of kindness to the teacher or office. Kindness cards are placed in a drawing each week. They are then sent home with the student that received the card so you can celebrate with your kids. Falcons choose kind.

Kindergartners, we are so excited to see you at school this week!
